""LAPD Heavy Duty Output Shaft - "The metal used to make this part is a premium aircraft quality alloy known as 300M. This steel is a Chromium Nickel Molybdenum alloy similar to 4340, but modified by the additional of vanadium and a higher silicon content. Thus allowing excellent transverse ductility and toughness at high strength levels. It is also the same material used to manufacture drive shafts for top fuel dragsters. Each part is precision machiend on the state of the art CNC equipment for utmost accuracy. This enables us to create a superior product while holding the closest possible tolerances. Concentricity, from the end to end, is held withtin +.005/-.005. The gear splines are created holding the same tolerance range in relationship to the centerline of the peice. A critical factor for this will ensure that the shaft runs perfectly true and balanced eliminating the possibility of unwanted vibration. Upon completeon of machining, every part then goes through our Quality Control Dept. For a final inspection. Using the latest digital and computerized methodns for quality assurance, each part iss tested and must meet the highest standards or it is rejected. Also each gear end is checked using the actual mating peice to gurantess a perfect fit every time. The part is heart treated to a hardness of 48 to 50RC making it practically indestructable."

This clutch kit comes complete with a CYN-R-G billet aluminum segmented flywheel, upgraded pressure plate with a light weight aluminum pressure ring and unique sprung hub twin friction clutch disc. All of the friction surfaces use RPSs own carbon-carbon material which is one of the finest friction materials made in the world. This material will never glaze or melt, it is very smooth to drive and has a very long service life. This clutch and flywheel kit is ideal for cars with up to 500 rwhp. ""LAPD Street Twin Carbon Clutch - "The LAPD Street Twin Carbon clutch and flywheel kit comes complete with a billet steel flywheel, a special 10.5 steel pressure plate, RPSs patented carbon floater plate and two half carbon discs. RPSs patented carbon floater will not warp like all other steel floater plates. If the clutch you are looking to buy has a steel floater, beware!! A warped floater plate greatly reduces the life of the clutch and causes it to chatter on takeoff. Real carbon-carbon friction material was designed by the Military to only rub against itself. Again if the clutch you are looking at has carbon rubbing against steel, beware!! The discs in LAPDs Street Twin Carbon clutch have carbon on the floater side (as God, or in this case the Military intended) and high grade organic material on the pressure plate and flywheel side. With this clutch, LAPD has the standard steel pressure ring in the clutch cover replaced with a billet aluminum piece that reduces the weight by 7 pounds. Also since no friction disc can rub directly against aluminum, RPS installs a carbon-carbon facing onto the pressure ring and both sides of the outer clutch disc. This is a direct bolt-on header which takes about 4 hrs to install. With higher efficiency in the bottom to mid rpm range fuel mileage is also increased.
