The system requires the installation of an aftermarket hood. If you have already installed a hood to fit your non-intercooled supercharger system, you will NOT need to get a new one - the intercooled system will fit under the same hoods as the non-intercooled supercharger system.

How Does It Work? In simple terms, an engine's ability to make power is directly proportionate to the amount of air and fuel that can be brought into the combustion chamber. Putting more fuel in is easy. It's like opening a faucet. On the other hand, getting extra air into the chamber is a more difficult matter, since it's essentially "drawn" in. The Magna Charger supercharger increases the displacement or "blows" more air into the engine. This is called "forced induction," and it's widely used in racing, aviation and industry to extract maximum power from internal combustion engines. You get the fuel economy of a smaller engine, with the power and horsepower of a larger, stronger engine.
